Doggie Styles Pet Grooming

Doggie Styles Pet Grooming is a dog groomer in Shelton, CT. The business provides professional grooming services for dogs of every size, breed, age, and coat type, including designer breeds. Core services include bathing, trimming, and nail clipping, with full-service spa packages featuring hypoallergenic shampoo, ear cleaning, and anal gland expression upon request. The stylists specialize in hand scissoring and breed-specific cuts, utilizing natural, biodegradable shampoos and conditioners designed to highlight coat type and color. Long-haired pets receive leave-in conditioner to aid in brushing and de-matting. The facility focuses on animal welfare by maintaining a quiet, comfortable environment and using handheld dryers on the grooming table rather than heated cage dryers. Regular professional grooming is promoted as a matter of health and hygiene to help prevent skin disorders, excessive shedding, periodontal disease, and painful matting.

The grooming team brings more than 40 years of collective experience to their work, taking time with each animal to finish sessions with minimal stress. The business is veterinarian-recommended and welcomes pets with specific needs, offering special or medicated treatments upon request. Specific product options include Oatmeal with Baking Soda for soothing relief and deodorizing, Colloidal Oatmeal Shampoo for dry or flaky skin, and Lav-n-derm infused with lavender oil for stress relief and hot spot treatment. Vaccination records for distemper and rabies are required for all grooming services.

Located at 210 Leavenworth Rd, the salon is situated in a natural setting. It is about a tenth of a mile from Indian Well Falls and Indian Hole Brook.
