Peaslee Architect PC

Peaslee Architect PC is an architecture practice in Norwich, CT, located at 648 CT-198. The practice is rooted in Connecticut's Quiet Corner and serves homeowners and builders across the region with a full range of architectural services. Principal Stuart Peaslee carries projects from first sketch to final walk-through under what the practice calls the Peaslee Method, a single-hand approach that runs from project inception and site selection through feasibility studies, cost analysis, programming, schematic design, design development, and interior design, and on to architectural construction documents, complete permit-ready construction documents, working drawings, bidding and negotiation, and construction and contract administration. The practice also offers building condition audits and architectural consultation for clients who need counsel before, during, or instead of a full commission.

Stuart Peaslee grew up in the Quiet Corner of northeastern Connecticut and worked as a logger in the local woods before turning to architecture. That background shapes the firm's working philosophy: a building should belong to its place, improve the site, and never shout. Rather than arriving with a style to impose, the practice studies the land and the building program until the right design becomes visible, then draws the line that gets it there. The office combines traditional pen-and-paper drafting with contemporary architectural software, and clients are invited to bring their own tastes and materials to the table so that layouts, facades, and finishes are tailored to each project rather than to a house style. Initial contact with the firm is handled by Stuart personally; prospective clients are asked to write a few honest lines describing the place and the timing of their project.

The office holds a rating of 0.00 with no reviews recorded to date. Stuart reads every inquiry himself before a project opens in person.
