The New Old School Of Music, LLC is a music school in New Britain, CT. Her students have gone on to audition successfully for the Juilliard Pre-College Division, the Carnegie Hall Honors Orchestra, Inter El, CT Regionals, the All-State Festival, select groups at Hartt, chamber orchestras including WHPS' Camerata and I Giovani Solisti, and competitions abroad. In 2020, Mirela was appointed to the Commission on the Arts by the West Hartford Town Council, and she serves as Principal-2nd for the West Hartford Symphony Orchestra. She was nominated in 2021 as one of the Top 100 Romanians Abroad and serves as Vice-President of Românul Corp. in CT.
