River Dale Farm Camp Site

River Dale Farm Camp Site is a camping site in Clinton, CT, on River Rd. The property spans 100 acres of a colonial farm and runs between a winding country road and the Hammonasset River. Guests choose from wooded, waterfront, and grassy meadow sites, with water, electric, and 3-way hook-ups available, including 50-amp electric service. On-site cabin rentals are offered for campers new to the experience, and reservations are open for the 2026 season.

Recreation at the campground centers on a spring-fed pond for swimming, a swimming pool added in 2025, a children's playground, a lighted tennis court, a basketball court, twin shuffleboard courts, a volleyball court, a softball field, and horseshoe courts. Indoor options include pool tables, ping pong, and a video arcade, and the property stocks trout in the Hammonasset River for fishing. A full schedule of special events runs throughout the season. Facilities cover full hookups, Wi-Fi access, clean modern restrooms, hot showers, a large recreation hall, a fireplace and picnic table at each site, a spacious pavilion, a camp store, a laundromat, LP gas, and a dumping station. The beaches of Long Island are within reach for day trips from the campground.

Huzzle Guzzle Brook runs about 0.3 miles away, and the Weiss-Loveday Watershed nature preserve is roughly 0.3 miles from the property.
