Sarah Bashore owns Hixon Interiors and has led it since 2008. She has more than 25 years of experience, has been NCIDQ certified since 1999, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Utah State University. Her work centers on home remodels and basement finishes, and she has designed hundreds of kitchens and baths. She draws on established relationships with furniture makers around the country and a network of home improvement vendors, handling ordering, receiving, and installation. The studio's approach involves clients from the beginning of a project, collaborating with the build or remodel team so the finished space fits how they live. Projects range from contemporary to classic or a mix, and the team works with existing spaces to determine what can be kept and what needs to be replaced. Basement work includes living areas, playrooms, home offices, home gyms, movie theaters, and wine storage, with support posts, beams, duct work, and plumbing rough-ins treated as design opportunities. Aging-in-place work adds universal design concepts during a planned remodel. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 5:00.

The studio sits on Redwing Road, just off West Drake Road. East Drake Road is about 0.2 miles away, as is South College Avenue. The Voyager Nurse Aide Program is nearby, and Elan Fitness/Elan Yoga and Splash Youth are both within roughly 0.2 miles.

Hixon Interiors has built a positive reputation among the customers who have reviewed it, and Sarah's repeat clients and long-standing collaborations with contractors reflect that. For homeowners in Fort Collins planning a kitchen, bath, or basement project, that record of listening first and delivering on time is what the work is built on.
