Uptown Community Health Center

Uptown Community Health Center is a medical clinic in Denver, Colorado. It provides primary care for patients of all ages, along with women's health services that range from routine checkups to ongoing medical care. Its Midwifery Center offers midwife-led care for pregnancy, birth, and women's health at every stage of life, and mental health services and therapists work alongside primary care teams. The clinic accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid, and offers a sliding fee scale for patients without insurance. Financial aid is available, and full translation services are offered.

Uptown Community Health Center was formed on January 12, 2022, when three clinics came together: Bruner Family Medicine, Caritas Internal Medicine, and Seton Women's Center. Those clinics were once part of Saint Joseph Hospital, Colorado's oldest teaching hospital, and served as home base sites for its Graduate Medical Education programs. The organization became a stand-alone nonprofit so it could serve patients as a Federally Qualified Health Center Look-Alike, focused on providing care regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. It maintains a close relationship with Saint Joseph Hospital, and its resident providers continue to be trained under the guidance of that hospital's physicians, carrying on the mission and values of the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth.

The clinic is located at 1960 Ogden Street. Bruner Family Medicine is in Suite 460, Caritas Internal Medicine in Suite 400, Seton Women's Center in Suite 340, and the Uptown Midwifery Center in Suite 320. The building sits near North Downing Street and Park Avenue, both about a tenth of a mile away, and the Denver Community Recreation Center is roughly two-tenths of a mile from the clinic.

Uptown Community Health Center provides care for every stage of life, from babies to older adults, and welcomes patients whether they have Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, or need help with costs. It also teaches tomorrow's physicians and healthcare professionals, shaping the next generation of medical providers while serving its Denver community.
