MasterDrive of Denver

MasterDrive of Denver is a driving school in Centennial, Colorado. It trains teen drivers through the MasterDrive Elite program, a complete preparation course built around the real dynamics of car control: managing a 4,000 to 5,000 pound vehicle in motion, driving on slick roads, ice and snow, skid recovery and skid correction, and crisis-avoidance maneuvers. Students practice these skills by doing and by repetition rather than by watching a video or sitting through a lecture. The school also offers a special program for kids with special needs and a Parent Coaching Kit, which gives families a framework and strategies to use alongside their teen's coaching. MasterDrive has trained over 200,000 students in more than 38 years.

MasterDrive was founded by Ronn Langford in 1986 in Colorado Springs, after his youngest daughter, Dorri, was killed in a crash shortly after graduating high school. The company remains locally owned and family operated, and it has run special training events and volunteer efforts in the communities it serves. Graduates sometimes contact the school a decade or more after their training to share how it saved their life. The Denver office operates from 15659 E. Hinsdale Drive in Centennial, with business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and student training sessions on Saturdays.

The Centennial location sits on East Hinsdale Drive, about a quarter mile from Dove Creek and a third of a mile from South Jordan Road. The Southeast Metro Stormwater Authority office is roughly four tenths of a mile away, Cherry Creek is about half a mile off, and East Broncos Parkway and Cherry Creek Ecological Park both lie within about half a mile to six tenths of a mile.

MasterDrive holds a rating of 3.90 from its reviewers in Centennial.
