29 Outdoor Gear

29 Outdoor Gear is a sporting goods store in Vallejo, CA, located at 3431 Broadway a5. The shop focuses on firearms, offering buying, selling, and trading alongside gunsmithing and training classes. Founded in 2014, the store carries most major firearms brands and serves customers across the Bay Area, with drive times of about ten minutes from Vallejo, fifteen minutes from Benicia and Napa, and roughly twenty to twenty-five minutes from Vacaville, Pinole, and Richmond. It holds a rating of 4.80.

The shop is owned by local resident Jerry Kunzman, a pistol competition shooter since 1991, hunter, and clay shooter who runs the business with longtime friend and co-owner David Lang, both Napa Area residents who built and operated other businesses before opening the store. Kunzman, drawing on thirty years of shopping at Bay Area gun shops, built the shop around an inviting, family-friendly and pet-friendly environment where staff take the time to help customers choose a firearm, arrange custom builds, or provide appraisals. Several gunsmiths are on staff to handle complex work. The team also includes Store Manager Tommy Weisz, Firearms Compliance Officer and Custodian of Records Kassandra Beale, Shop Keep Evan Romero, and Sales associate Ed Hawkins, who brings a background in firearms history. Kunzman personally studies California's complex firearms laws so he can correct the misinformation customers often arrive with. Store hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with inquiries handled at 707-647-2511 or [email protected].

The store sits on Broadway, just off Highway 29 in American Canyon, about two-tenths of a mile from both the American Canyon Post Office and the American Canyon Library, and a short distance from Sonoma Boulevard.
