Oak Optometry

Oak Optometry is an optometrist in Santa Clarita, CA, located at 24581 Copper Hill Dr. The practice is independently owned by Dr. Krista Roden and offers comprehensive eye exams, pediatric eye exams, medical eye exams, and contact lens exams. Comprehensive exams include a complete front to back examination of the eye, with dilation recommended every two years for most individuals. Pediatric exams are recommended at age 3, before first grade, and annually thereafter, since conditions such as amblyopia can be treated only up until a certain age. Medical eye exams address corneal abrasions, infections, allergies, inflammation, foreign bodies, contact lens related pathology, amblyopia, and diabetic retinal exams. Contact lens exams confirm fit and prescription, and fittings are available for first time wearers.

Dr. Roden is a board-certified and glaucoma-certified optometrist trained to manage eye disease and prescribe glasses and contacts. She grew up in the suburbs of Minneapolis, earned a Bachelor of Science in Ecology from the University of Minnesota, and a doctorate from Southern California College of Optometry. The practice tailors care to each individual's needs, whether a patient is being fitted for glasses or contacts or has questions about eye conditions. The optical carries a collection of independent eyewear brands known for hand-crafted, unique frames. The team also includes Samantha as office manager, Amanda as pretester, and Tyler as optician. Office hours are 9:00AM to 5:00PM Monday through Friday.

The office sits on Copper Hill Drive, near the intersection with Decoro Drive. It is a short walk from the public artwork "Maps and Maping: The Firefighter's Life Line" and Los Angeles County Fire Department Station #156, both about 0.1 miles away. Copper Hill Community Recreation Center is about 0.4 miles away, and West Creek Park is about half a mile from the office.

Oak Optometry holds a 5.00 rating from the customers who have reviewed it, who describe Dr. Roden as knowledgeable and thorough in explaining conditions such as macular degeneration, floaters, and dry eyes.
