Tolbert Painting

Tolbert Painting is a painter in San Luis Obispo, CA, serving the Central Coast with residential interior and exterior repaint, home maintenance, and cabinet and finish work. The company handles stucco and siding on exteriors and walls, doors, and cabinets on interiors, and works with both paint and stain projects on cabinetry. It holds a rating of 4.4 based on customer reviews.

Tolbert Painting has been crafting residential painting work on the central coast of California for 15 years and is led by founder Joel Tolbert, a third-generation craftsman who began painting houses alongside his father at age 10 and continues to work in the field with his crew daily. The interior crew protects furniture, wall hangings, decorative items, interior plants, floors, counter tops, light fixtures, sinks, tubs, and faucets during every project, and recommends no-VOC paint in occupied homes to comply with California VOC laws. Exterior work includes full surface preparation for adhesion and longevity, with tarps, plastic, paper, and tape used to shield areas not being painted, and scheduling that responds to the Central Coast's changing weather. The team follows current OSHA safety standards and stays current with product and application developments.

The business sits on Rancho Oaks Drive, about a third of a mile from Davenport Creek and roughly nine-tenths of a mile from Buckley Creek. The San Luis Obispo Regional Airport and the Airport Viewing Area park are just over a mile away, and a pair of nearby ponds sit a little farther to the south.

Customers have responded with positive reviews that reflect the quality and attention to detail the crew puts into each project, and the rating reflects that satisfaction. Tolbert Painting's deep Central Coast roots and its founder's lifelong craft give the company a long-running local presence in residential painting across the region.
