Little Wonders Daycare

Little Wonders Daycare is a preschool in San Luis Obispo, CA, operating as an in-home daycare that serves children from three months old through school age. The program keeps group sizes small, enrolling between six and eight children in a mixed-age setting, and includes breakfast, lunch, and two snacks as part of daily care. Families have rated the program 5.00 based on customer reviews.

The daycare was founded in November 2022 by Amorita Sjogren, who serves as the primary caregiver and is known to enrolled families as Miss Amorita. She brings more than ten years of experience working with children, with a background that includes nannying, coordinating children's ministry classrooms at church, and serving as a CASA, along with work with children from newborns through age thirteen. A certified assistant supports the program part-time several days each week. The curriculum is play-based, centered on the belief that children learn best through play and that play supports cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. The program is designed to meet the individual needs of each child while encouraging growth in social skills and self-regulation, and it treats the relationship between parents and teachers as essential to a child's success. Meals and the daily schedule are organized around a structured day, and families communicate with the program through a waitlist contact process.

The daycare is located on Gulf Street, about a fifth of a mile from Madonna Road and a short walk from C. L. Smith Elementary School and C.L. Smith Park. Central Park and SLO City Fire Station #4 sit roughly four-tenths of a mile away, with Los Osos Valley Road just beyond.

A 5.00 rating from families reflects a preschool where a small group of children receives daily care from an experienced caregiver in a home setting on the Central Coast.
