She grew up in Akron, Ohio, graduated from the University of Akron in 1995, and earned her veterinary degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. She has been practicing in San Diego since graduation. Early in the practice she offered both holistic and western veterinary care to the San Diego community, before focusing on in-home euthanasia as the area of greatest need. Dr. Ziegler holds membership in the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, the American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture, the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association, the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association, the San Diego County Veterinary Medical Association, the California Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association. For emergencies outside her service hours, she directs clients to Veterinary Specialty Hospital, Pet Emergency and Specialty Center, and VCA Emergency Animal Hospital in the San Diego area.
