The company was founded with a mission to ensure electrical fire safety for Sacramento's historic neighborhoods. The owner, who also owns one of Sacramento's historic homes, prioritizes raising awareness about electrical fire prevention and implementing safety measures to protect families and future generations. They educate customers about potential fire hazards and preventive measures, and they consider their customers part of their extended family. Their repair work goes beyond fixing visible symptoms; they test circuit breakers and fuses, inspect and replace outlets and switches, use multimeters to check voltage and continuity, identify loose wires and corroded connectors, verify GFCI and grounding functionality, and use thermal imaging to find hot spots. For remodeling projects, they bring modern convenience to older homes with upgraded panels, improved circuit design, and clean installations, treating everything from 1950s homes to newly gutted kitchens with care. They also provide detailed electrical safety inspections for residential and commercial clients, helping property owners, managers, and buyers meet code requirements and prevent hazards.

The business is located on 916 E St in Sacramento, right at the edge of the Alkali Flat neighborhood, about a block from Emiliano Zapata Park and the Sacramento County Public Law Library. The Alkali Flat Central Historic District is also nearby, and G Street is just a short walk away.

Modern Edison Electric of Sacramento stands out for its positive rating from customers who have reviewed it, reflecting the trust it has built in the community.
