About K9 Optima of Pittsburg
K9 Optima of Pittsburg is a Dog Training business in Pittsburg, CA, located at 1408 Harris Ct. It holds a rating of 5.00 based on 250+ reviews.
The business addresses severe aggression, deep anxiety, and reactivity through a method focused on neurobiology, physiology, and animal social learning. Founder Josh Beckler identifies the neurological drivers behind behavior, such as fear and arousal, rather than treating symptoms. The approach avoids leash corrections and compulsion, aiming to build trust and help dogs find comfort and curiosity.
Services include reactivity sessions, obedience training, aggressive dog assessments, and support for shelter and rescue organizations. Options are available for both dog owners and professional trainers, including virtual sessions and in-person work in Antioch, CA. The business has worked with over 6,000 dogs in four years.
K9 Optima was voted #1 in California and #7 in the nation by Sniffspot. It also won the Oakland Magazine Readers' Choice award in 2024.
