Standiford Veterinary Center

Standiford Veterinary Center is a veterinarian in Modesto, California, serving pet owners in Modesto, Riverbank, Oakdale and Stanislaus County. The hospital operates as a full-service veterinary clinic and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, providing emergency and critical care for accidents, injuries and illnesses of all types alongside routine care. Its services cover separate cat and dog programs, with feline care built around pheromones to reduce stress during visits, and preventive medicine spanning every stage of a cat's life, from kitten through junior, prime, mature, senior and geriatric years. Diagnostic imaging includes on-site radiographs, ultrasound and CT, and the clinic also offers endoscopic surgery. Wellness plans for adult dogs and cats are available, and the practice maintains the PetPage app for appointments and pet health records. The center holds a rating of 3.80.

The veterinarians and support staff have sought to achieve high standards of veterinary medicine since 1978. Emergency care is staffed by experienced veterinarians and veterinary care support staff who manage medical care through stressful and potentially life-threatening situations, and the team explains treatment to clients rather than simply administering it. The clinic notes that cats hide illness well and that subtle behavioral changes, such as a cat no longer greeting its owner at the door or losing interest in food, can signal a serious problem requiring immediate attention.

The center sits on Standiford Avenue in Modesto, about a tenth of a mile from Sylvan Learning and a short walk from a post office. Tully Road is roughly four tenths of a mile away, and two medical clinics, Modern Urgent Care and AllCare Medical Group, are within about half a mile.

Having served the area since 1978, Standiford Veterinary Center pairs round-the-clock emergency availability with preventive and diagnostic care for the dogs and cats of Modesto and the surrounding Stanislaus County communities.
