Le Chien Fortune Dog Grooming Spa

Le Chien Fortune Dog Grooming Spa is a pet boarding and grooming business in Millbrae, California. It provides professional grooming and spa treatment for dogs, along with a boutique that sells dog clothing, leashes, vitamins, homemade treats, and other supplies. The salon uses top of the line shampoos and conditioners with therapeutic skin care, and each dog receives a custom shampoo matched to its skin and fur type. All dogs are welcome, and owners must provide proof of vaccinations before service. The founder and groomer is Nelson Mak, who received his credentials from Penn Foster Grooming School and previously worked as a Grooming Manager at Petco. He is known for being caring and warm, for listening to owners and answering their questions, and for understanding the different personality types of the dogs he grooms. Le Chien Fortune was founded so that every dog would feel comfortable and safe during its spa visit.

The business sits on Park Blvd, about a tenth of a mile from El Camino Real, Magnolia Avenue, and Park Place. Happy Hall School is roughly a tenth of a mile away, Capuchino High School about two tenths of a mile away, and Green Hills Park about four tenths of a mile away.

Clients describe Nelson as patient and calming with nervous dogs, and several note that he keeps to the time of completion he promises. Reviews mention dogs coming home relaxed, soft-coated, and groomed as requested, and one owner wished she could give ten stars.
