Happy Preschool & Day Care is a daycare in Los Angeles, CA, serving families with children from age 2 through 12. The centre runs two programs: a preschool for children ages 2 to 5 with a flexible schedule, and a daycare for school-age children ages 5 to 12. It is staffed by fully qualified, professional bilingual teachers who deliver an age-appropriate curriculum paired with academic and creative arts. Children are served a healthy breakfast, lunch, and snack, and take part in group activities, art and craft projects, indoor play, and outdoor play with a play structure. Happy Preschool & Day Care was founded in 2003 by Hector and Nidia Jurado, who met through a shared desire to teach and began working with children together back in 1992, the year they started dating. After marrying in 1997 and completing child development studies in college, they opened Happy Day Care in their home to serve their neighbourhood. In 2009 they built a new facility and opened Happy Preschool, a second location for children ages 2 to 5, with the goal of building a community of families. The school operates from a new building with air conditioning and uses a research-based curriculum, and walk-ins are welcome throughout the year. Many of the children who attended the original day care years ago have since graduated from high school and enrolled in four-year universities, some on full scholarships, and still visit the founders.

The centre sits on Carmona Avenue, about four blocks from Culver City and roughly a quarter mile from the West Washington Boulevard, Marvin Avenue Elementary School, and the Santa Monica Freeway. West Adams Boulevard is nearby to the south, with Ballona Creek and the Mid-City neighbourhood within a short distance.
