K9Klipper of Lakewood

K9Klipper of Lakewood is a dog groomer in Lakewood, CA, serving pet owners in Lakewood, Long Beach and the surrounding area. The business specializes in grooming difficult, aggressive and senior dogs and cats, and offers full grooming services including haircuts, baths, nail trimming, ear cleaning and anal gland expression. Its rating stands at 4.90.

The groomer behind K9Klipper has more than 30 years of experience in pet grooming. The approach centers on treating every pet and every pet parent with respect, care and dignity, and on working as a team with pet parents to reach haircuts that satisfy the pet, the owner and the groomer alike. Because animals cannot speak for themselves, the business takes on the role of being a voice for them. Beyond grooming itself, K9Klipper offers advice on pet diet, on the understanding that healthy skin, coat and digestion go hand in hand with grooming.

Services are offered in tiers. A bath-only package includes nail trimming, ear cleaning and anal glands. A bath and tidy adds a sanitary trim, round feet and a visor or rear trim. A full haircut includes the bath and tidy plus a full body haircut. Bath pricing for dogs runs by weight, and cat baths are arranged by phone. Appointments are scheduled in 15-minute intervals, with two to three hours asked for service time depending on the condition of the pet and how busy the schedule is, and walk-ins are taken based on availability.

The business sits on East Artesia Boulevard, at the corner with Downey Avenue, about a tenth of a mile from the Artesia Freeway and the Artesia Tollway. Ramona Park is roughly two tenths of a mile away.

Customers have rated K9Klipper 4.90, a reflection of the care it provides to pets that other groomers may turn away. For Lakewood and Long Beach pet owners with senior, anxious or hard-to-handle animals, that combination of three decades of experience and a 4.90 rating is the draw.
