Kelly Sweda is a mother of two and a photographer based in Santa Barbara who has called the area home for more than twenty years. Born in Idaho and raised on the beach in North County San Diego, she learned her love of photography from her father. She describes herself as an introvert and a natural observer, employing an editorial, documentary-style approach to family sessions. Her goal is to capture the in-between moments, candid snippets of time, natural light, movement, touch, and connection. She aims to create images that make subjects feel as much as they smile, offering a time capsule of their fleeting stages of life. She does not offer mini sessions or single holiday card shots, preferring to provide the time needed to truly see and connect with a family.

For brand clients, Kelly creates custom photography packages designed to elevate visual storytelling and online presence. She works with retail shops, clothing lines, stylists, bloggers, interior designers, and wellness practitioners. As a female business owner herself, she understands the value of thoughtful, high-quality imagery for websites, blogs, and social media. She works one-on-one with clients to create a custom photography experience that reflects their brand and connects with their audience. Her brand photography aims to look as authentic, polished, and compelling as the businesses it represents.
