Founded in 1927 by Domenico Galleano, Galleano Winery is the last remaining bonded, Prohibition-era winery still owned and operated by its founding family at its original location in the Cucamonga Valley. The Cantu-Galleano Ranch complex is listed as a landmark on the California and National Register of Historic Places. The winery is situated in Mira Loma’s Wineville area at the southern fringe of the Cucamonga Valley, an alluvial plain that sweeps down from the eastern banks of the San Gabriel Mountains. The land was originally purchased in the 1920s by Colonel Esteban Cantu, who used the ranch to provide for his soldiers, now serving as vaqueros. The property has remained much the same since the Galleano family purchased it in 1927, maintaining its historic character.

The winery produces a classic aged tawny style port from the Cucamonga Valley that has more international gold medals than any tawny port in America. This Oloroso style wine is aged for 20 years in American Oak. It features an amber-caramel color with warm brown sugar aromas, and a palate that opens with brown sugar, pecans, figs, and a hint of spice and orange peel. The winery also produces wines with a light red hue and touches of orange, offering a nose of black cherries, raspberries, and brown sugar, with a rich palate and a very long finish.
