Hillsborough Electric

Hillsborough Electric is an electrician in Burlingame, CA. The business is operated by Bob "Bobcat" Williams, a licensed electrical contractor (Lic #545936) who has worked as a residential electrician for over 30 years and lived in the Bay Area his entire life. Services include troubleshooting, installing lighting, adding receptacles, hot-tub wiring, repairs, and modernizing panels. Williams runs the business solo in order to give each customer personal attention and quick service, and his work covers the Town of Hillsborough and surrounding San Mateo County communities. Hillsborough Electric holds a rating of 5.00 from the customers who have reviewed it.

The company was established in 1988. Williams began his career in Contra Costa County in the 1980s, running a crew of ten wiring whole houses, before downsizing and relocating to Marin in the 1990s, and finally settling the business in San Mateo County. Before becoming an electrician, he ran his own handyman service, which gave him a working knowledge of general building repairs that he continues to draw on when an electrical job requires altering surrounding material to make a repair functional and look right. Customer testimonials describe him as professional, thorough, punctual, and experienced, with a habit of explaining problems and options in plain language and using photos to prepare each job accurately.

The office sits on Park Road, a short distance from the Burlingame Creek greenway and from Lorton Park, and within a few hundred feet of the spire that remains from the old Burlingame City Hall. It is also close to the UCSF Cancer Center in Burlingame, and a post office is located nearby on the same stretch of Park Road.

As a solo residential electrician serving the Hillsborough and broader San Mateo County area, Williams brings over three decades of hands-on trade experience to each call.
