Açai Jungle Bowls Cafe

Açai Jungle Bowls Cafe is a juice bar in Burbank, California. It serves a small menu built around pure açaí bowls, sandwiches, salads, smoothies and shakes, along with a seasonal specials menu that has included soups, wraps and coolers. Everything is made in house, fresh and from scratch daily, and the kitchen sources organic açaí and toppings, organic free-range chicken and eggs, wild-caught fish, artisanal bread and grass-fed butter, with no seed oils, no antibiotics, no dairy, no soy, no GMO ingredients and no corn syrup. The cafe holds a 4.60 rating from the customers who have reviewed it.

The cafe began in 2005, when its founders wanted to share their take on the perfect açaí bowl through the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu community after a trip to Brazil. In 2012 they opened an Ipanema-style beach stand in Burbank, and in 2015 the space next to the stand became available, allowing them to open a cafe and expand the menu to the sandwiches, salads, smoothies and shakes served today.

The space was designed with soothing colors, large windows that let in natural light, plants inside and across an outdoor patio, and a counter tiled in cement tiles hand crafted with a tropical tribal design. Music is drawn from Brazilian, African, South American and European artists, and the lighting was chosen to support a healthy circadian rhythm. Indoor and outdoor seating are both available.

The cafe sits on North Victory Boulevard, about a tenth of a mile from West Magnolia Boulevard and two tenths of a mile from West Olive Avenue and South Victory Boulevard. The Betsy Lueke Creative Arts Center and Disney Elementary School are each about three tenths of a mile away.

Its 4.60 rating reflects a customer base that has responded well to a menu of açaí bowls and fresh-made food in Burbank.
