Stanford Transportation Inc

Stanford Transportation Inc is a trucking company in Bakersfield, California. It offers full truckload shipping, which gives large, high-volume or sensitive shipments a dedicated truck and direct delivery with minimal handling, along with refrigerated and temperature-controlled trucking for perishables, pharmaceuticals and other freight that needs precise climate control. Cross-dock solutions move shipments directly from inbound to outbound vehicles to cut storage time and handling, and secure short-term storage is available for freight that needs flexible space. Loads are tracked in real time through McLeod Software, a transportation management system used for dispatching, load tracking, billing and customer communication. The company holds a rating of 4.00 from customer reviews.

The company's history reaches back to 2009, when founders Joe, Gary and Jeet were friends working at a packing shed in Bakersfield with a shared goal of becoming truck drivers. They earned their Class A licenses in 2010 and spent five years saving to become owner-operators, then bought three trucks and three reefer trailers and launched the business. By 2020 the fleet had grown to 35 trucks, 45 trailers and 60 drivers. In 2025 it numbers more than 100 trucks and 180 reefer trailers. The company states its aim is to be a trusted and safe carrier, and it lists reliability, safety, integrity, customer commitment, efficiency, innovation, teamwork, sustainability and adaptability among its values.

It sits on Mount Vernon Avenue, about a fifth of a mile from Bakersfield Tehachapi Highway and the same distance from Mount Vernon Avenue itself. East Brundage Lane is roughly half a mile away, as is Virginia Avenue Park. Mount Vernon Elementary School is about half a mile from the location, and the Regional Occupational and Agricultural School is around six-tenths of a mile away.

The 4.00 rating reflects the experience of the customers who have reviewed the company, and the fleet it has built since 2009 shows how far a Bakersfield packing-shed idea has carried.
