The Sonata Room / Latin Dance Pros

The Sonata Room, home of the Latin Dance Pros, is a dance studio in Arcadia, CA, offering Latin and ballroom dance instruction. Their program covers salsa, cha-cha, bachata, swing, and Argentine tango, alongside social events such as salsa socials, ballroom parties, and milongas. They serve dancers at every level, from beginners learning the basics to couples choreographing their wedding day, and hold a 5.00 rating based on customer reviews.

The studio was opened to share the elegance and beauty of Latin dance. Their air-conditioned space is built around a 3,000-square-foot hardwood floor with mirrored walls and ample parking. Each weekend brings either a salsa social or an elegant ballroom party, with guest DJs and resident DJ Brandon. Once a month, the studio hosts a Sonata Milonga that includes a class and a performance with guest tango luminaries. The teaching approach focuses on balance, combining technique, steps, patterns, and musicality so that students learn the basics with finesse. The studio takes pride in an open and friendly atmosphere, and their instruction has produced many accomplished dancers and inspired students to pursue careers as dance teachers.

The studio sits on N First Ave, just a tenth of a mile from the Arcadia train station and the Arcadia Post Office. East Huntington Drive and North Santa Anita Avenue, two of the area's main roads, are each about a quarter-mile away, and the Foothill Freeway runs within the same distance. The historic Denny's Windmill is also close by.

Run by Laura and Brandon, the studio reflects the positive feedback from the customers who have reviewed it, a reputation built through years of instruction and a welcoming environment in the heart of Arcadia.
