Arcadia Playschool

Arcadia Playschool is a preschool in Arcadia, CA. The program serves children from 18 months to 5 years old through toddler and preschool classes built around research-based educational methods and purposeful play. Families can choose between two Arcadia locations: one on Las Tunas Drive and the Live Oak campus at 615 E Live Oak Ave. Both campuses operate Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and both can be reached through the shared email [email protected]. Arcadia Playschool is a family-owned and family-operated early learning program run by owners Mr. Dave and Ms. Ranum, who bring over 40 years of combined experience in developing and operating preschools. The school draws on the work of social scientists, neuroscientists, and developmentalists to shape its approach, focusing on healthy cognitive, socio-emotional, and physical development. Staff aim to cultivate "Teachers Without Barriers" while nurturing children who know who they are, what they want, and how they can help. The school supports each child's individual qualities and works to inspire positive attitudes toward learning through role-modeling. Daily nutrition includes breakfast, three snacks, hot school lunches, and 2% organic Horizon milk, with allergy and dietary accommodations available. Monthly menus are published for families to review. The admissions process runs in three steps: schedule a tour, submit an application, and receive a letter of acceptance. Prospective families can schedule tours and submit applications directly through the school's website for either the Live Oak or Las Tunas campus.
