Tangerine Pet Clinic

Tangerine Pet Clinic is a veterinarian in Marana, Arizona, caring exclusively for dogs and cats. The clinic is a local, independent practice serving Marana and Northwest Tucson, and its services include wellness and preventive care, dentistry, parasite control, nutrition, radiography, ultrasounds, laboratory work, allergy care, spay and neuter surgery, and end-of-life care. Comprehensive wellness exams are tailored to each animal's age, breed, and lifestyle, covering check-ups, vaccinations, and preventive guidance. The clinic also offers snake avoidance training.

The practice is built around a Fear-Free, pet-first philosophy, a science-based approach to reducing the anxiety many pets feel during vet visits. That means non-slip surfaces so pets feel stable, team members avoiding direct eye contact at first so a pet can acclimate at its own pace, exams conducted on the floor when that is where a dog feels safest, and quiet, private spaces for feline patients. Treats, toys, and gentle handling are used to turn a visit into a positive experience. The clinic is owned and led by Dr. Michele Estheimer, who grew up in Marana and returned to open her own privately held practice there after practicing in both private and corporate settings around Tucson. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and studied at the University of Cambridge's Department of Veterinary Medicine in the United Kingdom, then returned to Tucson to complete post-DVM training. The clinic follows pets through every phase of life, from preventive care in younger years to regular wellness checks that detect problems as pets age.

Tangerine Pet Clinic is located on North Thornydale Road, just off West Tangerine Road, about a tenth of a mile from Northwest Fire Station #39. Deer at Tangerine Sky Park and Cañada Agua Wash are each roughly a mile away.

The clinic was named a 2025 Readers Choice winner.
