For over 10 years, Johansen Fence & Gate has worked on Tucson homes and businesses. Every project is custom designed and fabricated, and each one is personally supervised by founder Cody Johansen. The company sources materials from local companies and works in wrought iron, steel, and custom metal. Consultations are free, and for some projects designers produce a CAD drawing so customers can see how a new fence or gate will change the landscape. Most projects receive a line-itemed bid within 48 hours, and after a contract is accepted a fabricator returns to the site to confirm measurements. Fences are built to withstand desert heat, and crews use least-invasive techniques and clear debris at the end of each day. Completed work includes projects for Customs and Border Protection in Nogales and SpaWell at El Conquistador Resort, and custom fences and gates have been transported as far as St. Louis. The company also creates metal sculpture, fountains, wall art, trellises, planters, and handrails, with samples displayed at The Garden Gate Design Center on Oracle Road.
