Como Pet Lodge & Animal Works

Como Pet Lodge & Animal Works is a Pet Boarding facility in Catalina Foothills, AZ, located at 13275 N Como Dr. The business serves local dog owners through its Pack Therapy Center, offering boarding, daycare, and a Board & Train program designed to create happier, healthier, and more confident dogs. Since its founding in 2021, the facility has focused on filling a gap in canine care by supporting individual dogs' physiological growth and rehabilitation. Services include Individual Behavior Therapy to heal fears and traumas, Confidence Building through basic obedience and mental stimulation, and Pack Therapy, which utilizes group learning and social interaction to help dogs overcome ingrained behaviors. The center also operates a Shelter Bypass Program to keep dogs in homes and out of overcrowded shelters, providing immersive care for dogs whose owners face challenges such as homelessness or domestic violence. The facility holds a rating of 4.80 based on customer reviews. The center’s approach is built on the belief that dogs can heal and develop other dogs through regulated pack interactions. The versatile outdoor facility supports this method by allowing canine professionals to create stable Pack Pods using targeted mixing strategies. Dogs struggling to interact with others require a Meet & Greet and an Individual Success Plan before participating in Pack Therapy, ensuring they receive the necessary support. The Board & Train program incorporates balanced training methods to correct reactive behavior and reward healthy decisions. Daycare services provide an immersive experience with group play, while dogs also have access to individual areas for mid-day breaks and naps. The business requires full vaccination records for all reservations and charges specific daily rates for unaltered pets and excessively noisy dogs to manage care needs effectively. Customers benefit from a structured environment that prioritizes psychological needs and social learning. Donations support the food, medical, and grooming expenses for dogs in this program, as many owners cannot afford the full cost of care. The facility requires new customers to create a Gingr account to manage reservations, update details, and upload vaccination records, streamlining the booking process for both daycare and boarding services. Como Pet Lodge & Animal Works provides specialized canine care in Catalina Foothills, combining structured boarding with therapeutic socialization to support both dogs and their owners.
