Woodco Furniture

Woodco Furniture is an interior designer in Van Buren, Arkansas, specializing in custom American-made residential furniture. The business manufactures and sells solid wood furniture built in its own Van Buren and Fort Smith facilities, with offerings in red oak, maple, cherry, and quarter sawn white oak that can be customized to individual needs. Woodco serves customers shopping for living room, dining room, and bedroom pieces designed to become family heirlooms, and carries other American-made furniture lines alongside its own. The company holds a rating of 4.80 from customer reviews.

The business was founded in 1977 by Bob Pierce, who had previously worked in the wood turning industry in Florida and Arkansas. When Woodco opened, his son Bobby was eleven and already involved in the company. During the 1970s and 1980s, the business primarily produced turnings and parts for other manufacturers both locally and across the country. As American manufacturing shifted overseas in the 1990s, Bob Pierce expanded Woodco into a full production facility and began developing its own furniture line while continuing to carry other American-made brands, a move that gave the company direct control over quality at every stage of production. In 1995, Woodco opened its Van Buren facility to the public. Bobby Pierce took over the business in 1999 and has continued building on the company's focus on quality custom products and customer service. All lumber used by Woodco is slow-grown hardwood harvested from the Northern Appalachian Mountains under sustainable forestry practices, and every piece of wood is kiln dried for accurate aging and moisture content.

The showroom sits on South 28th Street, about half a mile from Van Zandt Park and roughly three quarters of a mile from Clair Bates Arena, Van Buren High School, and Alma Highway. Central Elementary School is nearby, and Lake Cap Bedell is just over a mile away.

Woodco is a family-owned manufacturer that has built custom solid wood furniture in Van Buren for decades, sourcing its Appalachian hardwood and finishing each piece at its own Arkansas facilities.
