Hoods Home Center of Mobile

Hoods Home Center of Mobile is an appliance store in Tillmans Corner, Alabama, located at 5597 US-90. The store carries several of the same brand names found at large big box retailers, with many of its strongest deals coming from closeouts, overruns, discontinued lines and one-of-a-kind items that arrive daily. It holds a rating of 4.40 from customer reviews.

Hoods Discount Home Center has operated since 1948 and describes itself as a different kind of home improvement store, one built around in-store browsing rather than a costly online shop, so that savings are passed directly to customers. Shoppers can stop in, look around and find something new on each visit, and the store notes that many customers drive long distances for its prices. The company runs nine locations across Missouri, Alabama and Mississippi, including the Mobile store on Hwy 90 W in Theodore, which is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 6pm and Saturday from 9am to 5pm. Customers have described being treated like family when they walk in, and the home decor selection draws compliments from visitors.

The Mobile location sits on US-90 in the Tillmans Corner area, west of the city along the Gulf Coast corridor.

A 4.40 rating reflects a customer base that has responded well to the store's mix of brand-name appliances and home goods at closeout pricing. For Tillmans Corner and the surrounding Mobile area, that combination of everyday brand names and constantly changing deals is what has kept Hoods serving shoppers since 1948.
