She went on to complete an internal medicine internship, a skin cancer prevention research fellowship, and a dermatology residency at Penn State University Hershey Medical Center, also earning a Master's in Public Health Sciences during that time. Her four daughters were born while the family lived in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Dr. Gunn has served as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology and as Director of the UAB Dermatology Cosmetic and Laser Clinic, and she now owns and operates Gunn Dermatology.
