JJ Eyes was founded in 2002 by owner JJ Vanche with the goal of providing customer service and quality merchandise with top-of-the-line lenses, and more than 20 years later that goal remains the same. The practice describes itself as one of the only in the region where patients receive 100 percent of their eye testing one-on-one with a doctor. The optometrists and staff work with each client on face shape, coloring, prescription and personality when selecting frames, offering multiple selections tailored to specific needs. Contact lens fittings cover toric, non-toric, monovision, spherical and multifocal lenses, with work continuing until the curve, thickness and diameter suit the client's vision. Glaucoma screening includes ophthalmoscopy, gonioscopy, slit lamp exam, optic coherence tomography and ultrasound pachymetry. The boutique also handles reading glasses, prescription lenses and sunglasses, and repairs.

The office sits on South Church Street, about a tenth of a mile from Fairhope Avenue and the Fairhope Single Tax Corporation office, and roughly the same distance from Fairhope K Center school and Fairhoper's Community Park. North Section Street is about two tenths of a mile away, as is USA by the Bay.

JJ Eyes is locally owned and independent, and its 5.00 rating reflects the experience of the families and long-term clients who return to it for eyewear and eye care in Fairhope.
