KBC

KBC is a catering business in Dothan, Alabama, operating as a market, eatery and bakery led by chef Kelsey Barnard Clark. Packages include Alabama, with fried chicken tenders, mashed potatoes, fried okra, buttermilk biscuits and honey mustard; Charcuterie, with hard, soft and semi-hard cheeses, prosciutto, pickled okra and artisanal crackers; Riviera Maya, with pork carnitas, blackened fish, flank steak and fixings; Tuscany, with a seasonal pasta selection; New Orleans, with jambalaya, red beans and rice, muffaletta sliders and gumbo; Texas, with smoked brisket, smoked chicken or pulled pork; All-American, with KBC burger sliders; and Farm Stand, with vegetable and salad recommendations based on seasonality. Package B adds New York, New York, with prime rib, creamed spinach or grilled asparagus, rosemary garlic new potatoes and dinner rolls, and Country Club, with a carving station.

Chef Kelsey Barnard Clark is a Dothan native who began baking in middle school and catered her first event at 16. She trained at the Culinary Institute of America in New York and worked at Manhattan restaurants Cafe Boulud and Dovetail before returning to Alabama to launch KBC.

KBC sits on North Foster Street in downtown Dothan, steps from Downtown Park and Porter Park, and about a tenth of a mile from West Main Street, the Houston County Courthouse, the Dothan Opera House and the Parole and Probation Office. It holds a 4.50 rating from the customers who have reviewed it.
