What began in 1999 as a favor to a friend who needed a video camera to record a wedding has grown over two decades into a full photography and video business. In 2024 a studio space opened in Decatur that serves as a base for studio photography as well as YouTube video content creation with full audio recording capabilities, used by personalities and agencies from around the country. Kyle Root works with clients to shape a vision for a shoot, whether the goal is preserving memories of family and friends or creating a personalized portrait session.

The studio sits on 4th Avenue Southeast in Decatur. It is about a third of a mile from 14th Street Southwest and 6th Avenue Southeast, roughly half a mile from Funland Park, the WAJF-AM tower, Austinville Road Southwest, and Skate Castle.

Clients describe Kyle Root as pleasant, easy to work with, and professional, noting that he takes time to make sure subjects look their best and that he cares about the finished result. His event work is built around settings where there are no second chances to get the shot, timelines are tight, and professional quality is paramount.

For Decatur weddings, corporate events, and portraits, that combination of two decades of experience and a studio built for both still photography and video production gives North Alabama clients a single source for image and video coverage.
