Brian Taylor and Courtney Green came to Alaska 16 years ago with a wanderlust for wilderness and an eagerness to explore. When the opportunity arose to take over a retiring musher’s freighting kennel, they jumped at the chance to give every dog a forever home and take their Alaskan adventures to the next level. They both have been guiding in Alaska for over a decade and are eager to share their knowledge, love of dogs, and the place they call home. The kennel specializes in self-supported expedition travel during the winter months and spends summers on daily walks in the tundra with people. The dogs in the kennel are with them through their entire lives and are not only working dogs but also trained as indoor pets. In addition to tours, Courtney Green offers custom art and fiber projects.

The kennel’s dog family includes Puck, who came as a puppy from the Denali Park Kennels “Little Switzerland litter.” His original name was Troll, but he selected Puck the moon of Uranus as his name. One of the biggest dogs, Puck joined the last Mountaineering freight haul as a 6 month old puppy. D'arcy is the only white dog of the kennel and is one of the fluffiest. She is sweet and snuggly and the daughter of Puck and Pandora. Bootsy is a big boy weighing in at 105 pounds with traditional husky coloring and markings.
