Chugiak Storage

Chugiak Storage is a storage facility in Chugiak, Alaska. It rents drive-up storage units and parking for belongings, vehicles, trailers, boats, and RVs, and also offers commercial storage. The facility is locally owned and operated, with month-to-month rentals, and it serves Chugiak, Eagle River, JBER, Anchorage, and the Mat-Su area. Customers have rated it 4.90.

The facility provides 24/7 access, gate access, a fenced site, video recording, internal lighting in units, pest control, and online bill pay. Renters can use a size guide to determine their storage needs, select a unit or parking space, pay online, and sign a lease online; a unique gate code and unit lock code are then sent by email and text message so the customer can move in. Chugiak Storage guarantees a one-year rate lock, so the rate will not increase during the first year of storage.

A major facility expansion is planned for Spring/Summer 2027. It is expected to add premium 15x45 storage units with 12x14 doors and 16-foot ceilings, an additional building with 5x10, 10x10, and 10x20 non-climate-controlled units, and more parking spaces for vehicles, trailers, boats, and RVs. Planned site improvements include improved gate access, added security features, upgraded site flow, and an RV dump. Availability is expected to be limited, particularly for the larger 15x45 units, and customers can join an early interest list to reserve space.

Chugiak Storage holds a 4.90 rating from the customers who have reviewed it, reflecting the trust it has built with renters in the area. For Chugiak residents who need to store a boat, an RV, a vehicle, or household goods close to home, it offers secure, locally run storage with round-the-clock access.
