The business began with mining and custom design work using gold from the family's own claims in interior Alaska. It is locally and family owned, operated by Steve Fuller and Roy Stone. Steve's involvement with gold started in childhood, when his father first told him the tale of the Lost Adams Diggings and later taught him to pan outside Ouray, Colorado, near the family's hard rock silver mine. After prospecting the dry desert washes of southwestern New Mexico as a teenager and serving six years in the US Air Force, Steve apprenticed with a dredger on the Salmon River in Northern California and eventually bought into the Grant Creek Mining Co. That mining background shapes the store's in-house custom work, from Caribou Creek to the finished piece on the showroom floor. The Anchorage gallery carries a large selection, and customers can also shop online. Store hours run Tuesday through Friday from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturdays from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, with Sundays and Mondays closed.

The gallery sits on Old Seward Highway at the Tudor Road intersection in Anchorage. The store can be reached at (907) 338-7778 or by email, and pricing is available by calling for current rates. A positive rating from customers who have reviewed the business reflects steady approval from those who have purchased from the gallery.
