61 Degrees North Winery of Atqasuk

61 Degrees North Winery of Atqasuk is a winery in Atqasuk, AK. It operates as a small batch, boutique establishment offering make-on-site options for customers. The business opened on December 19, 2023, and provides wine flights, glasses, and bottles for purchase. A central feature of the service is the ability for patrons to create their own batch of wine, which they can later return to bottle, cork, and label. The winery also accommodates group gatherings through room rentals and allows customers to bring their own charcuterie to enjoy while sampling the available wines.

The winery’s approach is rooted in the owners’ personal experience of making fruit wines and using wine juice kits in a home kitchen. Recognizing that their home space was too small for their passion, they established the business to provide a dedicated environment for this process. The wines are produced using juice kits sourced from around the world. Customers can purchase a kit and have the winery handle the production work, receiving a call when it is time to bottle. This model allows patrons to participate in the sampling and bottling stages while the business manages the technical aspects of winemaking. The menu includes five 2-ounce pours for 25 dollars, three 2-ounce pours for 15 dollars, and individual glasses ranging from 7 to 13 dollars. Bottles are available to go for prices between 16 and 40 dollars. Dessert wines are served in 1-ounce pours within flights and 3-ounce glasses.

The business is located at 5001 Arctic Blvd # 101. It holds a rating of 4.90 based on customer reviews. The winery serves the local community by providing a space for both casual tasting and hands-on wine creation.
